At DuPont, our purpose is to empower the world with essential innovations to thrive. We work on things that matter. About the Role

You'll own and grow a portfolio of Vespel® accounts across aerospace, semiconductor, electronics, industrial, and transportation markets. As the primary commercial lead for your customers, you're accountable for revenue, profitability, retention, and opportunity growth — and you'll pull together DuPont's technical, operations, and supply chain resources to deliver on what you promise.

    What You'll Do

    Own your accounts

    • Manage a portfolio with full accountability for revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction
    • Build and execute account plans with clear objectives, actions, and measurable outcomes
    • Find and convert new opportunities inside existing accounts — new applications, programs, and sites
    • Hit sales and profit targets through pricing, mix, volume, and pipeline conversion

    Lead the customer relationship

    • Serve as the main commercial contact across decision-makers, technical teams, procurement, and operations
    • Learn each customer's strategy, applications, and competitive pressures in depth
    • Run business reviews and growth discussions
    • Bring the voice of the customer inside, and lead escalations on delivery, quality, pricing, or service

    Drive commercial execution

    • Build pricing strategies that balance customer value and margin
    • Lead RFQs, proposals, negotiations, and contract discussions
    • Keep forecasts, opportunities, and customer activity current in CRM
    • Track performance against targets and course-correct early

    Develop new business

    • Partner with Business Development, Marketing, and Technical to position Vespel® for new applications
    • Coordinate trials, qualifications, and commercialization milestones
    • Track market trends and competitive activity that shape account strategy
    • Translate technical capability into clear business value

    Align the internal team

    • Lead account teams across Sales, Marketing, Technical, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance
    • Set clear ownership and timelines for customer commitments
    • Partner with Key Account Managers and BDMs on shared and strategic customers
    • Escalate risks early with a recommendation attached

    What Makes You Successful

    • Account management: you build strategies and deliver on revenue and profit goals
    • Growth orientation: you create opportunities and convert pipeline into results
    • Commercial acumen: pricing, negotiation, contracts, forecasting
    • Customer leadership: you engage at every level and handle hard conversations well
    • Cross-functional influence: you mobilize resources without direct authority
    • Execution discipline: ownership, prioritization, follow-through, CRM rigor
    • Technical curiosity: you understand engineered applications and what they mean commercially

    What You'll Bring

    Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
    • 3+ years in account management, technical sales, or business development in a B2B environment
    • Track record owning customer relationships and hitting sales, growth, or margin targets
    • Experience with account plans, forecasting, and CRM systems
    • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
    • Ability to travel approximately 10%

    Preferred

    • Background in aerospace, semiconductor, electronics, industrial, or transportation
    • Experience with engineered products, qualification-driven applications, or long sales cycles
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce, SAP, and pricing or analytics tools
    • Experience across OEM, sub-tier, distributor, or multi-channel relationships
    • Proven results in opportunity conversion, pricing negotiation, and margin management
