Position Summary
As a Commercial Roofing Laborer, you will assist roofing crews in the installation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of commercial roofing systems. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation and repair of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, coatings, and metal roofing.
- Transport materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Remove existing roofing systems and prepare surfaces for installation.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site.
- Work collaboratively with foremen, supervisors, and crew members.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.
Qualifications
Preferred
- Previous commercial roofing or construction experience.
- Knowledge of roofing materials and installation methods.
- Experience operating construction tools and equipment.
Required
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 75 pounds.
- Comfortable working at heights and climbing ladders.
- Commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing.
- Ability to work on rooftops for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
- Ability to work in hot, cold, windy, or wet conditions.
