Gospel Worship Director

Your primary responsibility is to provide music services to the gospel congregation.  Your work under this contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

·       Attend one 90-minute rehearsal and one 90-minute worship service per week; arrive at least 15 minutes before worship service to ensure that potential coordination issues are properly addressed.

·       Be present no less than 15 minutes prior to a scheduled worship service. Worship Service hours are Sundays, 10:45 AM – 12:15 PM.

·       The Employee shall lead and direct choir during rehearsal times. Dates and time(s) will vary and are to be scheduled with the Gospel Service chaplain.

·       The Employee shall provide services of continued recruitment, development, and direction of a volunteer adult choir and/or praise band for the Hickam Gospel Worship Services.

·       The Employee shall open and secure the Chapel facilities and other facilities used for choir activities. When equipment is used, check that equipment and furnishing are turned off and returned to their proper place and condition following usage. Maintain an inventory of any chapel equipment provided for use in delivering services associated with this Agreement.

·       Maintain dress and grooming standards appropriate to the professional environment.

·       Be in attendance during the entire 90-minute rehearsal and 90-minute worship service unless other mutually agreed to arrangements have been made with the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) in advance.

·       The Employee shall provide additional music services support for up to two seasonal worship services not to exceed 60 minutes each that includes New Year’s Eve Watchnight and the African American Heritage Celebration.

·       Provide music for up to four (4) special events or programs during the contract period of performance around 60 minutes each.

·        When using music and music lyrics, Employee shall comply with copyright license reporting and copyright license identification procedures.

·       Employee shall not accept donations for performing ministrations, sacraments, and ordinances, which are performed under this contract. Such gifts, offerings and honorariums shall be deposited in the Chapel Tithes and Offerings (CTOF) unless clearly outside the scope of this contract and not associated with services rendered by this contract.
