Digital Forensics Analyst

Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies is seeking a Digital Forensics Analyst to support a Cybersecurity Program.

Note: This role is for a proposal. Offer will be contingent upon proposal award. Roles are expected to start early 2027.

Duties/ Responsibilities

• Provides network and media digital forensics, advanced threat hunting, and malware analysis across NCUA infrastructure using industry-standard tools and techniques.
• Executes proactive defense through Indicators of Compromise (IOC) sweeps, host interrogation, and persistent threat hunting using Virtual Machines, CloudTrail, and IAM logs;
• Leverages EDR, SIEM, and full packet capture for hunt and investigative activity examining endpoint and network-based activity.
• Provides status updates per the Enterprise Incident Response Plan battle rhythm and a Monthly Technical Status Report;
• Maintains SOPs for malware analysis, forensic analysis, and advanced threat hunting;
• Produces incident response and forensics reports (findings, analysis, recommendations, lessons learned);
• Develops forensic tools, scripts, and methods; and coordinates/supports NCUA Insider Threat investigations.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Must have at least 5 years of experience conducting, or supporting the conduct of, digital forensic analysis (Windows, Linux and Mac), digital media acquisition (disk duplication), mobile device acquisition/analysis, malware analysis.
• Experience with M365, Azure and AWS. Ability to investigate Virtual Machines, Cloud Trail, IAM logs.
• Utilize state-of-the-art technologies such as EDR, SIEM, and full packet capture to perform hunt and investigative activity to examine endpoint and network-based activity.
• U.S. citizenship required

Nice to Have Skills

• Preferred certifications; SANS GIAC: GCIH, GCFA, GCFE, GREM, GISF, GXPN, GCTI, GOSI, EnCase (EnCE, CFSR, ENCEP)

Education and Experience:

• Must have at least 5 years of experience conducting, or supporting the conduct of, digital forensic analysis (Windows, Linux and Mac), digital media acquisition (disk duplication), mobile device acquisition/analysis, malware analysis.

• U.S. citizenship required (Non-Sensitive/High Risk).

Salary Range: The salary range for this position represents Dynamo's good-faith estimate of the compensation expected to be offered at the time of hire. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, the responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, skills, education, work location, and internal equity.

110k - 135k annually
