Facility Welder-Fabricator

As a Facility Welder-Fabricator at Eagle Builders, you’ll perform a variety of welding, fabrication and repair work that supports the maintenance and operation of equipment in our precast concrete manufacturing facility. This hands-on role requires sound trade knowledge, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality and safety.
What You’ll Do
- Complete a variety of welding, fabrication, and repair tasks to support plant operations
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, diagrams, and schematics
- Operate welding tools and facility equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform A-frame repairs, deck chamfer repairs, hard surfacing, weld plate modifications, and general fabrication
- Maintain welding equipment and keep the shop clean, organized and ready for work
- Collaborate effectively with maintenance, production, and other team members
- Plan, organize, and prioritize work to support efficient plant operations
- Work closely with maintenance leadership to troubleshoot issues and complete repairs

Requirements
- Successful interview candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment assessment
- Valid Class 5 license and reliable transportation
- 3rd/4th Year Registered Apprentice Welder or Journeyman Welder
- Previous welding, fabrication, or related hands-on experience
- Ability to perform accurate welding and fabrication work in a fast-paced facility
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams and schematics
- Available to work 10-12 hours/day Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
- Physically able to perform demanding work for extended periods
- Comfortable working around active manufacturing equipment and production areas
- Able to work safely in a facility environment
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
Assets
- Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
- CWB welding certification
- Experience with equipment repair or hard surfacing
