CFD Sales Team Leader / Sales Manager

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced CFD Sales Team Leader / Sales Manager to join and grow our Auckland-based sales team. This is a hands-on leadership position. The successful candidate will not only manage sales performance, but will also be responsible for
recruiting, building, training and developing a strong local sales team. We are particularly interested in candidates who already have experience in the CFD, Forex, online trading, brokerage or closely related financial services industry and understand how to develop both salespeople and client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and build a high-performing CFD sales team in Auckland.
- Identify, interview and hire suitable BDMs / Sales Executives.
- Provide structured onboarding and training for new team members.
- Train the team on CFD products, client acquisition, sales processes, CRM usage and relationship management.
- Coach team members through calls, meetings and day-to-day sales activities.
- Set individual and team targets and actively manage performance against KPIs.
- Develop sales strategies to acquire new clients, traders, IBs and business partners.
- Support team members in developing their own client and partner networks.
- Conduct regular sales meetings, training sessions and performance reviews.
- Identify underperformance early and provide coaching and improvement plans.
- Work closely with senior management on recruitment, team expansion and market development.
- Maintain appropriate professional standards and ensure the team follows company policies and applicable compliance requirements.
Requirements
Essential:
- Previous experience in the CFD / Forex / online brokerage industry.
- Previous experience as a Team Leader, Sales Manager, Senior BDM or similar commercial role.
- Strong understanding of CFD/Forex client acquisition and relationship management.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit and build a sales team.
- Strong ability to train, coach and motivate salespeople.
- Proven sales and business development skills.
- Strong communication, leadership and people-management skills.
- Target-driven and comfortable working in a performance-based environment.
Highly Preferred:
- Existing network within the CFD / Forex / trading industry.
- Experience developing IBs, affiliates, partners or high-value clients.
- Experience building a sales team from an early stage.
- Multilingual capability and/or experience working with international client communities in New Zealand.
- Existing local network that can support recruitment and business development.
