We are seeking an enthusiastic Room Leader to join our team at Hurstbridge Children's Centre.

Hurstbridge Children’s Centre is a warm and welcoming childcare service located in Hurstbridge’s state-of-the-art community hub. We provide high-quality, inclusive early education and care for children aged three months to five years, where children can develop essential social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive skills in a safe, secure, and happy environment.

Our experienced educator's partner with families to create play-based learning programs that nurture each child’s interests and help them reach their full potential.

This is a full time, fixed position concluding in December 2027. You will be working 38 hours per week on a rotational roster.

About you

• You're reflective, curious and purpose-led, with a deep commitment to making a difference.
• You're open to learning and understanding the unique needs of every child.
• You're a critical thinker and collaborative team member.
• You have a drive to grow and improve continually.
• You value kindness and respect.
• You have great knowledge of the child safe standards and early childhood regulations.
• You hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent, a current WWCC, Mandatory Reporting Certificate, Foundations of Child Safety training certificate, Police Check, and First Aid in an Education and Care Setting certificate.

About the role

• You’ll develop a high-quality educational program for children aged 0-2 in consultation with the parents and educators, driven by children's interests, in order to meet their individual developmental needs.
  
• You'll create a supportive environment where children are safeguarded to learn and grow.
  
• You'll develop and implement engaging learning experiences based on the ECMS pedagogical framework.
  
• You'll build strong relationships with children, families, the community and colleagues.
  
• You'll actively participate in a culture of reflection and continuous improvement. 
• You are available on a rotational roster between the hours of 6:45am - 6:15pm.
