    Job description

    Why Ecowize?

At Ecowize North America, we go beyond cleaning food production facilities — we safeguard public health and drive operational excellence. As part of our team, you’ll join a mission-driven organization committed to food safety, innovation, and people development. If you’re ready to lead, inspire, and make a measurable difference, this role is for you.

About the Role: Sanitation Site Supervisor

The Sanitation Site Supervisor leads daily sanitation operations at a client facility that

runs multiple shifts, seven days a week. You’ll work closely with your team before,

during, and after sanitation shifts — ensuring the site is ready, safety protocols are

followed, and food safety standards are met.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll coach frontline employees, manage

sanitation processes, oversee shift readiness, and serve as the point of contact with both

    client management and regulatory inspectors.

    What You’ll Do

Lead Sanitation Teams: Supervise and support sanitation employees to ensure proper staffing, safe practices, and effective cleaning processes.

Ensure Shift Readiness: Coordinate with client maintenance teams pre-shift, verify lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and confirm equipment access.

Drive Safety & Food Safety: Reinforce PPE use, GMPs, SSOPs, and HAZCOMM

practices; ensure compliance with USDA/FDA requirements.

Inspect & Approve Work: Conduct equipment inspections before, during, and after

sanitation to ensure readiness for production.

Partner with Inspectors & Clients: Accompany USDA/QA inspectors during pre-op

inspections and maintain strong communication with client leadership.

Manage Documentation: Complete and maintain sanitation logs, deficiency reports, training records, and time/attendance records.

Enforce Standards: Apply company policies consistently, including progressive discipline when needed.

Adapt to Needs: Adjust staffing to cover short crews, manage budgets responsibly, and drive continuous improvement in sanitation effectiveness.

    What You Bring

    ·        Experience: 2–3 years in sanitation leadership within food processing (USDA/FDA environment required).

    ·        Sanitation Knowledge: Strong understanding of GMPs, SSOPs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and chemical handling.

    ·        Supervisory Skills: Ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly teams in a fast-paced environment.

    ·        Bilingual Preferred: English and Spanish.

    ·        Adaptability: Willingness to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays) and in all plant conditions (hot, cold, wet, loud).

    Key Competencies for Success

Leadership: You set clear expectations, motivate your team, and lead by example.

Accountability: You take ownership of results, documentation, and compliance.

Collaboration: You work effectively with peers, client staff, inspectors, and regulators.

Attention to Detail: You ensure cleaning standards, safety procedures, and documentation are never compromised.

Resilience: You remain dependable, professional, and composed in challenging environments.

    What We Value

Partnership: Building trust with clients and teammates.

Excellence: Delivering on commitments with precision and care.

Integrity: Doing the right thing, always.

    Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8- to 10-hour shifts; days, nights, weekends, holidays as needed
