Linux & Windows Server Administrator

<div><strong><u> 1. Job Summary</u></strong></div><div>We are seeking a highly skilled Linux & Windows Server Administrator to join IT team in client premises.

The role

will primarily focus on Linux system administration (70%) while also providing support for Windows server environments (30%). The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting critical server infrastructure across physical, virtualized, and cloud environments, ensuring security, performance, and high availability.</div><div><br></div><div><strong><u> 2.

Must Have Skills (Mandatory)</u></strong></div><div>* Strong experience (5–7 years) in Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu/Debian).</div><div>* Hands-on expertise in Windows Server Administration (2016/2019/2022).</div><div>* Proficiency in scripting & automation (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).</div><div>* Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, firewalls, VPNs).</div><div>* Virtualization technologies: VMware, KVM, Hyper-V.</div><div>* Cloud exposure: AWS, Azure.</div><div>* System security best practices (SELinux/AppArmor, patching, vulnerability remediation).</div><div>* Experience with storage technologies (LVM, NFS, Samba, SAN/NAS).</div><div>* Monitoring & observability tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk).</div><div>* Relevant certifications (RHCE, CompTIA Linux+, MCSA/MCSE).</div><div><br></div><div><strong><u> 3.

Good-to-have Skills (Optional)</u></strong></div><div>* Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).</div><div>* Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.</div><div>* Exposure to web server & app server management (Apache, Nginx).</div><div>* Basic database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).</div><div>* Backup & disaster recovery planning.</div><div>* File & Print Services management (Windows).</div><div><br></div><div><strong><u> 4.

Qualifications & Experience</u></strong></div><div>* Bachelor’s / Engineering Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.</div><div>* 5–7 years of proven experience in server administration (Linux-heavy).</div><div>* Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.</div><div>* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.</div><div>* Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.</div>
