Physical Therapist

The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing physical therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions within professional practices and ethical standards. This position practices within state licensure requirements and scope of practice.

Schedule: On Call / As Needed / PRN

Pay: The targeted pay range for this job is $48.00 - $60.00 per hour. Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

1. Assess patients and create treatment plans with physicians.

2. Deliver therapy and oversee care provided by aides and assistants.

3. Monitor progress and adjust treatment as needed.

4. Support discharge planning and collaborate with care teams.

5. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises and equipment.

6. Maintain accurate documentation for care and billing.

7. Supervise therapy staff and stay current on certifications.

8. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations.

9. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
• Previous experience working as a Physical Therapist
• Current license, state certification, or registered as a Physical Therapist in good standing
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
• Must be flexible and adaptable to changing situations including able to work irregular hours, attend meetings and special events
• Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
• 2+ years previous experience in home health, hospice or senior care
