Civil Engineer

As a Civil Engineer within our Urban Development team, you will focus on delivering comprehensive design and documentation for land development and civil infrastructure projects.

You will be responsible for

• Deliver and manage Civil and Infrastructure designs within broad acre greenfield and brownfield redevelopment
• Design of major and minor drainage infrastructure with an understanding of hydrological principles with appropriate water management and treatments
• Deliver and manage water and sewer designs in accordance with MRWA standards
• Prepare relevant servicing and development reports
• Work closely with the other members of the Urban Development team and sub-consultants
• Fostering relationships with current and potential clients building on your existing networks to generate new business

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a civil engineer within a consultancy environment with demonstrated knowledge of land development projects local to ACT. In addition, you will also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering
• Valid full drivers license
• A thorough understanding of civil design principles pertaining to land development, storm water, sewer, hydraulics, flood modelling, civil infrastructure and roads
• Design of multi-disciplinary projects using 12D and Autocad
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and ability to run projects within budget and on time
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organisation and interpersonal skills for facilitating internal and external stakeholder engagements
