    Key Responsibilities:

    Financial accounting & reporting.

    • Own the general ledger, month-end and year-end close processes in Oracle Fusion, including balance sheet reconciliations across supplier, GL and bank accounts.
    • Prepare statutory and management financial reporting, in line with Irish accounting conventions and the December year end.
    • Maintain reconciliation and reporting workbook standards (Excel) used across the finance team.

    Accounts payable & payments.

    • Oversee AP processing, three-way invoice matching, and supplier payment runs, together with related PO tracking.
    • Maintain controls over the supplier bank master file and payment approval process to prevent payment fraud/error.
    • Oversee tracking of major contractor Applications for Payment (AFP) and project cost tracking for capital works.

    Payroll & pensions.

    • Oversee payroll processing and reconciliation, including statutory deductions (PAYE, employer PRSI) and pension contributions.
    • Ensure accurate and timely payroll and pension provider reconciliations, resolving discrepancies.

    Tax & VAT compliance

    • Manage VAT compliance, including correct VAT rate classification across contracts and works orders, and liaise with external tax advisors as needed.

    Budgeting, forecasting & contract finance

    • Lead the annual budgeting cycle, including decentralised departmental budget templates and cost centre/GL structures.
    • Produce 3 reforecasts throughout the year.
    • Produce budget-to-actual variance analysis and forecasts for management and Egis Group reporting.
    • Support concession-specific financial mechanisms such as Price Adjustment Formula (PAF)/indexation calculations.

    Controls, governance & audit

    • Maintain and strengthen the internal financial controls framework; act as the main point of contact for external audit and track remediation of findings.
    • Support corporate governance requirements across ERTO.

    People & stakeholder management

    • Manage and develop the finance team; support day-to-day HR matters within finance.
    • Act as a key finance partner to ERTO's Tunnel Director, department managers, Egis Group finance, and external stakeholders (auditors, banks, Revenue).
    • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
    • Proven post-qualification experience in a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or senior finance management role.
    • Experience in a concession/PPP, infrastructure, utilities, engineering or other regulated operating environment is an advantage.
    • Strong ERP experience, ideally Oracle Fusion or a comparable large-scale finance system.
    • Advanced Excel skills.
    • Working knowledge of Irish Taxes (VAT, RCT, Payroll Taxes, Corporation Tax).
    • Strong people management, stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable operating at both hands-on and strategic level.
    • High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities across close, budgeting, and audit cycles.

    Benefits:

    • Free toll to and from work through Dublin Tunnel
    • Bike to work scheme
    • Company pension
    • Employee assistance program
