The Senior Municipal Engineer is a senior‑level civil engineering role focused on the delivery of municipal and transportation infrastructure projects in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The position supports traditional municipal business projects, acting as a transportation engineer on both provincial highway and local municipal roadway assignments across preliminary and detailed design phases.
The role leads civil roadway components for complex infrastructure programs, including freeways, urban and rural roadways, interchanges, and intersections. Work requires close coordination with watermain, storm, sanitary, drainage, and utilities disciplines to deliver integrated municipal infrastructure solutions. Project delivery spans planning, design development, and construction support within regulated provincial and municipal environments.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in roadway and municipal engineering, strong knowledge of Ontario transportation standards, and the ability to provide technical leadership, quality control, and mentorship within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
