Requirements
Education and professional experience
University or college degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Professional experience in full-stack software development or a related software engineering role.
Experience designing, developing, testing, and maintaining web user interfaces, APIs, backend services, data solutions, and system integrations.
Experience building scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions and translating business and product requirements into technical designs.
Practical experience with version control, code review, debugging, performance optimisation, and technical documentation.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, containerisation, observability solutions, and operational responsibilities is preferred.
Experience using approved AI-assisted development tools responsibly is preferred.
Language skills
Good command of written and spoken English, including the ability to produce clear technical documentation and communicate technical decisions effectively.
Technical skills
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, full-stack application architectures, secure development practices, and clean-code principles.
Practical knowledge of at least one modern front-end framework and one backend programming language and framework.
Knowledge of web technologies, RESTful or other APIs, authentication and authorisation solutions, and system-integration patterns.
Working knowledge of relational or non-relational databases, data modelling, queries, and data-management principles.
Proficiency with automated testing frameworks, version-control systems, code-review practices, build pipelines, and CI/CD tools.
Working knowledge of cloud-based development and operational environments, containers, logging, monitoring, and observability.
Ability to use approved AI-assisted tools for analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Understanding of the limitations and risks of AI-generated outputs, including validation, confidentiality, security, licensing compliance, and professional accountability requirements.
