Elizabethtown College invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor of Engineering Mathematics within the School of Engineering and Computer Science, beginning January or August 2027. This is a teaching-focused position supporting an Applied Calculus sequence, the foundational mathematics experience for Engineering and Computer Science students. This position will teach in-person classes. We seek an innovative and engaging educator with a strong background in mathematics education and student learning in quantitative disciplines, who is prepared to deliver calculus through applied, modeling-based, and student-centered approaches aligned with engineering and computing contexts.
The ideal candidate will contribute to a collaborative teaching culture that emphasizes active learning, mastery-based assessment, and real-world application of mathematics. The School of Engineering and Computer Science offers an ABET-accredited multidisciplinary Engineering program and is nationally recognized for its mastery-based pedagogy and active engagement with the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and the Kern Entrepreneurial Engineering Network (KEEN).
