About the role:
Reporting to Supervisor, Mobile Maintenance, the Supervisor, Asset Health is responsible for maximizing equipment availability and reliability in an open-pit mining operation through real-time asset health monitoring, failure analysis, and maintenance leadership. This role leverages telemetry, condition monitoring, and operational data to identify emerging equipment issues, support troubleshooting and repair triage, and optimize maintenance strategies for both operator-driven and autonomous mining equipment. The Supervisor, Asset Health serves as a key liaison between Mining and Maintenance teams, ensuring timely communication of equipment health risks and opportunities to improve performance.

In this role you will:
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Monitor real-time equipment telemetry, condition monitoring data, trends, and alarms to identify asset health risks and potential failure modes
- Make informed maintenance intervention decisions to optimize equipment performance, reliability, and availability
- Support problem-solving, diagnostic analysis, and repair triage for mobile mining assets
- Review asset failure trends and support defect elimination, reliability improvement initiatives, and maintenance strategy optimization
- Supervise a team of technicians responsible for diagnostics, preventive maintenance inspections, and asset repairs
- Collaborate closely with maintenance planning to prioritize and schedule corrective actions and planned maintenance activities
- Identify pending failures that can be proactively planned and scheduled to minimize downtime
- Provide feedback to equipment operators on Operator Driven Reliability (ODR) practices and performance, while monitoring autonomous haul truck performance indicators and incorporating both operator and system feedback into asset health assessments
- Facilitate communication between Operations, Maintenance, and Reliability teams regarding equipment condition, performance, and operational risks
Requirements:
- High School Diploma and Journeyperson’s ticket, or related technical diploma or degree
- Mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience with Komatsu haul trucks and Komatsu (P&H) rope shovels is highly desirable
- Experience with engine diagnostics, particularly Cummins systems, is an asset
- Experience with asset health monitoring, condition monitoring, and predictive maintenance systems
- Proficient computer skills, particularly in OEM systems, and proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP S/4HANA
- MLA Certification considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
Salary range: 123,000 - 145,000 CAD/year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
