Data Engineer (People Analytics Team)
People Analytics Team is part of the Analytics, Tech & AI department, in the People business unit of eMAG Group, and serves as a center of expertise for all companies in eMAG Group. Our selling point as a team is that you can work in a niche domain: people data, using the newest technologies, having the data into Google Cloud. We are a bold HR technical team, where hands-on development is not out of the ordinary. Furthermore, by working in this domain, you will impact decisions made for all companies in eMAG Group, and can steer the employee experience for all your colleagues through data & insights.
What you’ll have to do:
- Develop and extend HR Data Lake in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), by building end-to-end data flows, from ingesters to sanitizing, standardization, validation, transformation and on to visualization;
- Collaborate with HR in all eMAG Group’s companies to integrate all data sources into a single point of contact, scalable and self-serviceable;
- Handle the support and work on any given report from the domain of expertise, even ad-hoc manual reports when the case;
- Develop and improv the dashboards, visualization and recurring reports of People Data;
- Maintain and automate manual processes driven from data flows;
- Work with senior people in our organization.

- You can understand your client’s needs, prioritize and transform them into clear solutions;
- You solve problems at their core, thinking scalable, but you also can move fast and not stay in “analysis paralysis”;
- You worked with data, are passionate about them and want to make an impact with your work, building solutions, not just implementing the next spec;
- You developed and optimized before end-to-end data flows and data processes, from the source until the visualization report;
- You can work autonomously, can prioritize and can talk directly to the end client, being focused on building data products, not completing the next task;
- You are a team player;
What makes you stand out:
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform services related to data ingestion, data engineering and data analytics;
- Experience with data warehousing, data lake, ETL / ELT, data pipelines and data governance;
- Clear grasp of concepts like scheduler jobs, table views, IAM, access control, service accounts and data security;
- SQL, BigQuerry, Python, Excel advanced;
