The Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) utilizes their education, skill, and expertise to support patient care by performing routine clinical laboratory tests done in hematology, chemistry, immuno-hematology, microbiology, immunology and coagulation under COLA and CLIA standards and/or guidelines, then communicating results to the clinician (physician or APC) or other authorized clinical care staff. This position is primarily responsible for testing and analyzing a variety of specimens, as well as the clinical and operational management of all laboratory equipment, processes, and patient results communication. The MLS may oversee the work of technicians in the lab or use education and training to perform more complex testing or tasks.
Schedule
This position will float between the Urgency Rooms in Woodbury, Eagan, and Vadnais Heights and will work every 3rd weekend. The position is straight evenings.
