    Job description

    About Empowerly

Empowerly (Empowerly.com) is an education technology company that personalizes college and career counseling, with a mission to empower students to become the most successful version of themselves.

We provide data-driven education technology, start-up and research internship programs, and personalized counseling led by former Admission Officers and experienced College Admissions Counselors. We are a rapidly growing, mission-driven, and venture-backed company. It takes a unified team committed to our core values (collaboration, data driven, and empowerment) to achieve this goal and a fast-moving team committed to serving the needs of our students and families.

Each student is holistically evaluated through our  Empowerly Score™ — the only predictive technology that can also quantify subjective material. Each student is offered a three-pronged approach to evaluate academics, essays, and extracurricular activities, providing them with a 360-degree view of how to be competitive against other applicants.

We are a fully remote, global workforce focused on building world-class, college admissions advisory services and programs.

    About the role

At Empowerly, we believe every student deserves thoughtful guidance throughout the college admissions journey. As a Regional Events Lead, you'll have the opportunity to:

    • Help students and families better understand the admissions process.
    • Share your professional experience in an educational and supportive environment.
    • Meet motivated families, educators and fellow admissions professionals.
    • Join a collaborative, mission-driven team that values innovation and student success.
    • Enjoy a flexible schedule that fits alongside consulting, counseling, retirement, or other professional work.
    • Participate in at least two events each month, with opportunities to take on additional events throughout the year.
    • Receive competitive event compensation plus full travel reimbursement.
    • Be considered for future consulting, training, and student-facing opportunities within Empowerly.

    What you'll do

    • Represent Empowerly at educational seminars, invitation-only dinner events, school programs, and community presentations throughout your region.
    • Deliver engaging presentations that help families understand today's college admissions process.
    • Explain holistic application review, including academics, extracurricular involvement, essays, recommendations and institutional priorities.
    • Answer questions and facilitate thoughtful discussions with students, parents and educators before and after events.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Counseling teams to create and improve presentation materials.
    • Assist with and create PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations.
    • Share feedback from events to help strengthen future programming.
    • Stay informed about current admissions trends and best practices

    Commitment

    • Minimum of two events per month, with opportunities to participate in additional events based on availability and regional demand.
    • Most events take place during evenings, with occasional weekends.
    • Regional travel required.
    • Reimbursement for approved travel expenses, including airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and a daily meal per diem.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree required.
    • Former Undergraduate Admissions Officer at a selective U.S. college or university.
    • Experience participating in holistic application review and admissions committee discussions.
    • Strong presentation, communication, and public speaking skills.
    • Comfortable using Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint.
    • Ability to travel throughout your assigned region.
    • Experience presenting to parents, schools, or community organizations.
    • Admissions recruitment, outreach, or public engagement experience.
    • Passion for mentoring students and making the college admissions process more transparent and accessible.
