Role Overview:

We are looking to hire a detailed-oriented, driven, and resourceful Mechanical Technician to assume responsibilities for multiple Microgrid generators. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of performing maintenance on power generation equipment, electrical experience as a plus. The Mechanical Technician will ensure generators are maintained, serviced, and operate for customer requirements for on demand electricity.

The position is remote in the field with an average of 75% travel and will report to the Reliability Program Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), Power Solutions International (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends, as well as various voltage control and synchronizing equipment.
• Be proficient at learning and utilizing manufacturer specific software to troubleshoot and diagnose engine and control system problems.
• Facilitate technical support and liaison with equipment manufacturers.
• Perform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance tasks.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks.
• Perform periodic inspections to identify maintenance needs.
• Work in potentially confined areas of high heat and humidity, and cold.
• Follow company process and procedures for verbal/written communications.
• Utilize all current technology for communication, documentation, and research.
• Ensure Safe Operation of electrical equipment by enforcing company and industry standards.
• Safely prepare, operate, and maintain motor vehicles for the purpose of conducting company business.
