Job Summary:
The Extrusion Operator is responsible for efficiently operating an extrusion machine for yarn production.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Regularly maintain extrusion line doffs.
- String up positions when breakouts occur as efficient as possible.
- Effectively pack-out yarn with correct labeling and preparation.
- Work with a partner to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Learn to clean and inspect spinnerets.
- Keep work area clean and organized.
Performance Expectations (if applicable):
- Lifting, reaching, standing, stooping, and bending is required throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
- Must be able to use scissors, a wrap stick, wrenches, and other hand tools.
- Must be able to distinguish colors and shades.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous Extrusion experience preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Overtime required on occasion.
- All accidents must be reported immediately.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
