Joining English National Ballet, you will find a community of artists, musicians, theatre and costume craftspeople, creatives, business and administration professionals, all working together to achieve a common goal: to open up the possibilities of ballet, to move more people in more ways. We are a multi-skilled, multi-cultural, open and inclusive organisation and we place a high value on diversity and diversity of thought in our teams.
    About the role
English National Ballet is seeking a Participation Officer to join our Engagement team. This role provides essential administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth delivery of English National Ballet’s learning, participation and community work.
Working with colleagues across the Engagement team, you will support a varied portfolio of programmes, including youth dance, schools’ engagement, career insights initiatives, community projects, London and touring events, digital content, children’s ballet outreach, and classes for children and adults.
    • Coordinate timetables, term dates and logistics for classes, youth and community projects and programmes.
    • Act as the day-to-day contact for freelance artists, coordinating schedules, circulating briefs and processing contracts.
    • Source and book studio space and verify health and safety compliance for external dance spaces and community venues.
    • Administer booking systems, create registers and track attendance data for evaluation.
    • Respond to enquiries from parents, adult students, schools, venues and community partners.
    • Support the delivery of events and workshops, including preparing spaces, overseeing timings, supporting associate artists and ensuring health and safety requirements are followed as the ENB representative.
    • Collect data, set up surveys and compile feedback, case studies and information for reports and internal reviews.
    • Support designated projects in line with agreed project goals.
    • Experience of providing an administrative service in a busy office environment within a dance, arts or education organisation.
    • A keen interest in dance and youth and community engagement.
    • Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise your own workload in order to manage volume and meet deadlines
    • Ability to build positive working relationships with suppliers and other internal and external contacts
    • Willingness and ability to work outside core hours and at weekends as required.
