At Versalis, we are looking for a Technical Field Services Engineer (Oilfield Chemicals) within Versalis International in Pemba, Mozambique. You will be responsible for supervising operations and activities related to the services provided by Versalis to our customers across the district. You will report to the Branch Manager of Versalis as well as the local Project Coordinator.

Main responsibilities:

• Supervise operations in the oil & gas industry across the region.
• Be the point of contact and representative of Versalis for all customers, ensuring that the appropriate services are being provided for their operations.
• Ensure that all chemical treatments and associated services meet the specific customer requirements, and are provided on a timely basis.
• Manage all incoming requests, including putting together a technical report based on the specific requirements and coordinating the provision of subcontractors and any other corporate resources.
• Conduct performance test on chemicals in a laboratory environment when required.
• Manage the activities of all subcontractors and corporate resources across all operations.

Skills and experience required:

• University degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
• Between 5-7 years’ experience in the oil & gas industry, with a focus on chemical treatments and services.
• Fluent in Portuguese, professional level of English (B2).
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Flexibility to travel as required.
