Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the completion of loan applications, coordinate collection of documentation, and prepare loan files for processing.
- Maintain knowledge of related mortgage policies, procedures, regulations, and investor guidelines.
- Request and gather relevant information/documents from borrowers to complete applications and disclosures.
- Communicate effectively with loan officers, referral partners, realtors, clients, and other parties throughout the loan process.
- Monitor and manage a loan pipeline, including conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and other loan products.
- Review loan package paperwork for accuracy and completeness, reporting any inconsistencies or errors to the officer.
- Order appraisals and other third-party services to create loan packages for processing.
- Coordinate closing details and facilitate timely closings by working with title companies and clients.
- Secure and perfect collateral and oversee organized loan files, ensuring all documents are complete.
- Provide general clerical and phone support, assisting loan officers and team as necessary.
Skills & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience as a loan officer/originator assistant, loan partner, loan officer/originator, loan processor, and/or underwriter.
- The ability to learn, or have past in-depth experience, in mortgage loans, with a preference in residential mortgages.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
- Familiarity with loan origination systems like LendingPad.
