Clerk- Transportation and Security

Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties in the Security Department, in compliance with government, corporate, and management directives.

Essential Functions
1. Handles routine matters personally and routes non-routine business to appropriate staff, including covering phones and taking messages.
2. Maintains the monthly calendar of activities and appointments for the Security and Transportation
Department.
3. Maintains the correspondence control logs, receives incoming and outgoing mail, and provides follow-up on dates for action items on behalf of the Security Manager and the Security/Transportation Department.
4. Prepares paperwork for boards and committee meetings; prepares and files agendas and minutes on behalf of the Security/Transportation Department.
5. Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties.
6. Prepares special reports, maintains files and records, and compiles statistical data.
7. Performs clerical duties, including data entry and typing.
8. Maintains an appropriate stock of department supplies.
9. Maintains a filing system for all program manuals, directives, DESI procedures, and other program documents.
10. Responsible for submitting and filing monthly GSA Fleet and Transportation related reports.
11. Works with GSA Field Coordinator on GSA Fleet to respond to associated concerns.
12. Coordinate with the Fleet Drivers to ensure all vehicle maintenance is completed by the mandated schedules.
13. Assist with Security gate access control.
14. Answering the primary telephone number and handling these incoming calls by directing the caller to another individual or answering the general questions received.
15. Models, mentors, and monitors the positive normative culture of the center.
16. Acts as a responsible custodian for assigned center property.
17. Reports violations of unethical behavior.
18. Suggests opportunities for continuous operational improvement and a reduction of waste.
19. Identifies and reports on environmental health and safety concerns.
20. Able to maintain a 75% or higher on the employee scorecard.

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED).
• One-year related experience.
• Experience working with youth.
• A valid driver’s license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
