Job Summary

We have an opening for a Sr. Analyst, Corporate Strategy & Development that will engage in market research, facilitate strategic planning and drive Mergers & Acquisitions activity at ERMCO. A successful candidate will be a driven individual who enjoys both deep individual research & modeling and facilitating decision-making with leaders across the organization. This role will work cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, Manufacturing, Operations, IT, Human Resources, Legal and Chief of Staff teams to gather the inputs needed in support of its goals. The role will have a high level of exposure to senior leadership, and the work will have a direct impact on ERMCO’s strategy and M&A ambition. The candidate must be a Microsoft Excel financial modeling ninja and Microsoft PowerPoint savvy!

This role is remote within the following states: AZ, FL, GA, IL, KS, MI, MA, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, and WY. Candidates may reside in or relocate to any of these states. Relocation assistance will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market, customer, competitor, regulatory, and industry research to identify opportunities, risks, and trends affecting the business.
• Develop executive-ready insights and presentations to inform M&A, strategic planning, and investment theses.
• Support the development and refinement of the company’s M&A strategy, target criteria, and acquisition pipeline.
• Lead DCF financial modeling for the valuation of M&A targets, LBOs, JVs, and partnerships, including capital contribution structures, profit-sharing waterfalls, and scenario analyses.
• Develop valuation perspectives through comparable company and precedent transaction analyses, assessing market dynamics, transaction activity, strategic buyer behavior, and industry benchmarks.
• Conduct financial, commercial, and operational due diligence by reviewing confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and financial and operational data.
• Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders throughout the transaction lifecycle and support post-merger integration planning and execution.
• Manage a pipeline of strategic initiatives and partner cross-functionally with business leaders to define, evaluate, prioritize, and develop execution roadmaps.
• Prepare executive- and board-level recommendations, including financial impact, strategic rationale, risks, and implementation considerations.
• Track initiative outcomes and benefits realization, and report progress against strategic objectives.
• alignment with corporate objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Business, Finance, Economics or similar)
• 5+ years of experience in Corporate Strategy or Strategic Planning functions building out executive level presentations for leaders
• 5+ years of experience in performing data analysis in Microsoft Excel using various functions
• 3+ years of experience in M&A with DCF valuation modeling expertise and due diligence support covering LBO, JV and partnerships

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in strategy consulting, M&A/Valuation/Corporate development analyst, strategic planning
• Experience in the Manufacturing and/or Utility industries
