    Pharmacist - Per Diem - Greenwood, South Carolina

    We are seeking a PRN Pharmacist to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!

    Greenwood Regional Rehabilitation Hospital in Greenwood, South Carolina is a cutting-edge inpatient rehab hospital that serves patients from Greenwood and the surrounding Lakelands region with excellence and compassion. We provide intensive rehabilitation services for a range of conditions – from stroke and neurological injury recovery to post-surgical orthopedic rehab and trauma recovery – all aimed at maximizing each patient’s functional abilities.

    Our knowledgeable team of therapists, nurses, and rehabilitation physicians works closely with patients and their loved ones to develop customized therapy plans and realistic goals. Greenwood Regional Rehabilitation Hospital offers the latest in rehabilitative technology (such as therapy gyms and mobility training equipment) in a comfortable, small-community setting.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills:

    • Current license as a Registered Pharmacist required
    • Experience in a hospital setting preferred.
    • Supervisory experience preferred.

    Additional Qualifications/Skills:

    • Knowledge of and adherence to national pharmacist regulations and standards of practice.
    • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
    • Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
    • Demonstrates an understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency.
    • Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills.
    • Leadership skills in delegating, organizing, and educating coworkers and staff.
    • Effective organizational and time management skills.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
    • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
    • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.

    Responsibilities

    Consults with nursing and medical staff on prescription orders, patient reactions, and errors or complaints. Conducts drug utilization reviews and prepares drug review criteria for medical staff approval. Monitors drug therapies as assigned by medical staff and suggests alternatives as appropriate. Consults with physician and physician groups concerning financial risk management related to prescribing.  Integrates the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles” into daily practice.
