Senior Financial Auditor - Hybrid

The opportunity

You’ll work as part of high-performing team on a broad range of clients and assignments that will stretch and challenge you. You’ll be encouraged and expected to take accountability and make an impact.

Your key responsibilities

• Participate in performing audit procedures, especially focusing on complex and/or specialized issues.
• Collaborate to plan objectives and an audit strategy that complies with professional standards and appropriately addresses risk. 
•  Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team.
• Delegate work successfully. Conduct timely performance reviews and lead by example.
• Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.

Skills and attributes for success

• Knowledge of English at intermediate level or above
• Confidence in PC use (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of local GAAP (Romanian accounting) and basic knowledge of IFRS

Ideally, you’ll also  

• Have previous experience in financial audit 
• Possess an understanding of risk-based auditing and risk and control strategies
• Demonstrate compliance with and understanding of regulatory requirements
• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility and providing support
• Perform or supervise the execution of audit procedures in accordance with EY’s methodology and quality standards
• Be involved in preparing reports and schedules delivered to clients and other parties
