    Job description

    Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.

    This is a full time, permanent position, working a flexible 36.5 hour week, Monday – Friday.

    You will provide analytical support to the client’s drug substance manufacturing and method development services, involving project analysis, method development, forced degradation studies and proof of concept method validation.

    Job Responsibilities that you be covering:

    • You will provide analytical support for Eurofins’ drug substance manufacturing and method development projects, delivering high-quality analytical testing in line with client and regulatory requirements.
    • You will perform project analysis, method development activities, forced degradation studies, proof of concept validation work, and data interpretation to support scientific objectives.
    • You will contribute to the authoring and review of key analytical documentation, including Analytical Testing Plans, method protocols, and validation protocols, according to your skills and experience.
    • You will work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring accurate, innovative, and timely delivery of analytical solutions.
    • You will apply strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills to investigate challenges, think logically, and develop effective scientific approaches to complex projects.
    • You will communicate scientific findings and ideas effectively with internal and external stakeholders while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and professional development within Eurofins.

    What skills, qualifications and experiences you will hold as an Analytical Chemical Development Scientist:

    • You will hold a degree in Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry and have a strong fundamental knowledge of chemistry, particularly organic chemistry and analytical science.
    • You will have experience in pharmaceutical analysis within a development laboratory, with knowledge of pharmaceutical development, quality control environments, and the drug development process being advantageous.
    • You will have experience of modern analytical techniques, including HPLC and GC, with method development and validation experience highly desirable and knowledge of techniques such as NMR, LC-MS, IC, and ICP-MS considered an advantage.
    • You will have knowledge of raw materials, intermediates, drug substance analysis, and peptide chemistry, alongside a strong understanding of GMP requirements and best practices within a regulated environment.
    • You will have proven troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills, with the ability to learn new processes quickly, work effectively using electronic systems and Microsoft Office applications, and adapt to changing priorities.
    • You will have excellent communication, organisational, and documentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients, work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate a passion for quality, customer service, and delivering results in a fast-paced Eurofins environment.
