    Lab Analyst Process Development

    Job description

    As Lab Analyst, you will join our team working on analytical testing related to a department working on process development.  The following are some of the main tasks.

    Responsibilities

    • Bicinchoninic Acid Assay (BCA Assay), a laboratory method used to determine the total protein concentration in a sample.
    • DNA content assay.
    • JESS technique (automated capillary-based western blot platform)
    • Cell proliferation studies
    • Other molecular biology techniques
    • Interpreting experimental data and presenting conclusions to supervisor.
    • Reviewing the data generated by other analyst of the team.
    • Participating in the revision of the procedures.
    • Communicating with client contacts for shared understanding of analysis needs, expectations and interpretation of results.
    • Reporting any issues within area of work (out of trend, out of specification results, equipment issue or conflict in activities…), proposing solutions and participating in investigations whenever necessary.
    • Adhering to the quality systems, understanding and applying applicable corporate, divisional and departmental requirements as relevant.
    • Maintaining laboratory reagents, materials and equipment in good operating order.
    • Adhering to general and specific environmental, health and safety (EHS) guidelines.
    1. Master’s degree in molecular biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific field.
    2. Hands-on experience with protein analysis, DNA assays, cell proliferation studies, and molecular biology techniques.
    3. Experience with JESS (automated capillary-based western blot) or similar protein characterization platforms is preferred.
    4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret experimental data, identify trends, and communicate scientific conclusions.
    5. Knowledge of quality systems, data review processes, laboratory investigations, and regulated environments (GxP/GMP/GLP).
    6. Excellent communication in English. French is a plus., organizational, and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and cross-functional stakeholders.
    • A full-time (40hours/week) Monday – Friday job.
    • A permanent contract.
