    Job description

    Overview

The Creative Director owns the execution, quality, and delivery of EIM's visual creative work across design, copywriting, and video/photo production, leading the graphic design, video/photo production, and copywriting teams. The role translates brand vision and creative direction into consistent, high-quality outputs across campaigns, programs, and brand initiatives, and owns day-to-day creative operations. As both a people manager and an execution leader, the Creative Director ensures creative teams are supported, work is delivered on time, and visual standards are upheld.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute and uphold visual standards across all design and video/photo outputs, ensuring creative work aligns with brand guidelines, campaign goals, and creative direction; review and provide feedback on design and production deliverables to maintain high standards of craft, clarity, and consistency.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the graphic design, video/photo production, and copywriting teams — providing clear direction, feedback, and coaching to grow skills, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a positive creative culture, and supporting onboarding and ramp-up of new team members.
    • Own creative intake, prioritization, and production timelines; manage day-to-day workflow across design and video/photo projects, balancing capacity, deadlines, and quality across multiple initiatives; and partner with marketing teams to improve creative processes and efficiency.
    • Partner with Product Marketing, Channel Marketing, and Marketing Communications on execution needs; support campaign launches, events, and program initiatives with creative delivery; and collaborate with writers and content partners to ensure visual alignment with messaging.
    • Identify opportunities to improve creative workflows and tooling.
    • Support documentation of creative standards and production best practices.
    • Stay current on design and production trends relevant to the business.

    Qualifications

    Core Competencies:

    • Act with Integrity - Demonstrates honesty, transparency, and follow-through in all work.

    • Make Learner Success the Priority - Prioritizes outcomes that drive learner success and career advancement.

    • Innovation with Purpose - Challenges the status quo and drives scalable, practical solutions.

    • Use Data to Drive Continuous Improvement - Uses data to inform decisions and improve performance.

    • Build Together - Works effectively across teams and partners to achieve shared goals.

    • Own the Outcome - Takes full responsibility for outcomes and drives work to completion.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Design, Visual Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 5+ years in design or creative production roles, including prior experience leading designers and creative producers, and experience managing creative workflows in fast-paced environments.
    • Strong background in brand, digital, and campaign design.
    • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to give clear, constructive creative feedback and uphold consistent visual standards across design, copy, and video/photo work.
    • Proficiency with industry-standard creative and production tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud) and with creative workflow / work-management systems.
    • Ability to balance capacity, deadlines, and quality across multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
    • Collaborative leadership style that develops team members and partners effectively across marketing functions.
