Responsibilities
You will provide technical support for the design, review, and integration of piping systems throughout the engineering and procurement phases of projects.
Your main activity:
- Prepare and review technical documentation for piping systems
- Develop technical data sheets, mechanical specifications, technical descriptions, and basic and detailed engineering deliverables
- Provide technical solutions related to piping routing, material selection, and pipe sizing
- Read and review P&IDs, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and isometric drawings
- Issue review comments on layouts and piping documentation
- Support the development of technical proposals based on process parameters such as flow rate, pressure, and temperature
- Review documentation submitted by subcontractors and suppliers, including fabrication drawings, calculation reports, test certificates, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and manuals
- Verify compliance of documentation with project requirements and applicable standards
- Monitor document review cycles and manage technical clarifications with suppliers and subcontractors
- Support the integration of piping systems and mechanical equipment within industrial facilities
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Provide technical assistance during installation and commissioning activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the design and/or review of piping systems for industrial, energy, process, or water and wastewater treatment projects
- Hands-on experience in piping routing, material selection, and pipe sizing
- Advanced English language proficiency (written and spoken) is required
- Experience working on EP (Engineering & Procurement) or EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) industrial projects is considered an advantage
- Participation in HAZOP, LOPA, or other risk and safety assessment studies is considered an advantage
Essential skills
- Knowledge of relevant standards and codes for mechanical and piping systems, such as ASME, API, and EN/ISO
- Experience in preparing technical data sheets, specifications, and MR/RFQ (Material Requisition/Request for Quotation) documentation
- Ability to read and review P&IDs, General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and isometric drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent CAD software
- Experience with specialized piping design software is considered an advantage
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
