NATURE AND SCOPE OF JOB
The Human Development Assistant provides clerical/administrative support to all Human Resources/Development functions. He/she serves as the primary contact for the front office, delivering excellent customer service.
SHIFT DETAILS
Monday to Friday
9am-6pm
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
- Prepare, process, and review a variety of documents, including but not limited to:
- Contracts and project agreements
- Job description
- Confidentiality agreements
- Job letters
- Confirmation letters
- Probation extension letters
- Department transfer letters
- Promotion letters
- Demotion documents
- End of contract and job abandonment notices
- Create and maintain employee files.
- Type a variety of documents in drafts and final form.
- Proofread materials for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Answer routine questions and distribute and explain forms such as medical claim forms.
- Effectively assist the public and employees; answer calls and determine how calls should be routed; direct public and employees to appropriate offices
- Schedule and organize meetings, sort and distribute mail, and maintain employee and departmental files.
- Maintain office inventory and requisition list.
- Perform any other task or function as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 CSEC Subjects
- 1 year of experience in a related field.
- Administrative Assistant experience would be an asset.
- Customer service experience would be a plus.
