Loan Associate I – Loan Boarding

Department: Loan Center Employment Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt - Benefited

Posting Date: Salary: $22.90 - $26.33 (Commensurate with experience and qualifications)

F&M Bank’s Loan Associate IV is an experienced position responsible for accurately boarding and servicing consumer and commercial loans. The position requires knowledge of loan operations and is committed to providing excellent customer service. The incumbent must have knowledge of loan documents and be able to extract pertinent information accurately and thoroughly. The applicant must have good communication and organizational skills and be able to prioritize work tasks in a demanding environment. Must comply with all applicable regulatory requirements and practice appropriate internal controls relating to loans. Tasks include:

Inputting consumer and commercial loans and completes loan related transactions on the Bank’s core accounting system accurately and completely
Performs quality control checks of the work performed within the Loan Boarding department for accuracy
Monitors and tracks loans to ensure transactions are completed properly and billing statements are accurate
Funds loans, posts GL transactions, and reconciles loan accounts
Answers questions, completes research, and performs maintenance on loans as needed

Also required:

Successful completion of a credit history check is a condition of employment
Minimum of a high school diploma or G.E.D. required; successful completion of related college-level courses preferred
4 or more years of experience in loan boarding and/or loan accounting
Must have experience in using various computer systems and applications, or be proficient in using banking-related PC applications in a Microsoft Windows environment; previous experience with Jack Henry preferred
