What You'll Do:

• Assist residents with daily care like bathing, dressing, toileting, eating, and mobility

• Support rehabilitation and comfort goals from individualized care plans

• Help with transfers, positioning, and mechanical lift use

• Take and record vital signs, health status, and assist with restorative exercises

• Provide compassionate support while maintaining privacy and dignity

• Communicate with nurses and the care team to support resident well-being

• Participate in staff trainings, in-services, and infection control procedures

The Nurse Aide (NA) must be able to:

• Obtain Certified Nursing Assistant .certification  through the South Dakota Board of Nursing within 4 months of employment.
• Read, write, and follow both verbal and written instructions
• See and hear well enough to monitor residents’ physical and mental health and notice any changes
• Communicate clearly with residents, families, visitors, and healthcare team members
• Perform medium to heavy lifting, including helping move residents and handling equipment or supplies
• Frequently reach, bend, walk, and stand as part of daily tasks
