The Marketing Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Family & Children’s Services Marketing Department. This position combines administrative coordination with copywriting, graphic design and content production. The coordinator helps ensure marketing projects and materials are accurate, timely, brand-consistent and responsive to organizational needs. This position reports to the Director of Marketing Communications.
POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the inventory, organization and distribution of marketing collateral and promotional items.
- Fulfill marketing material requests from departments across the organization.
- Coordinate with printers and other vendors to support the timely production and delivery of marketing materials.
- Provide administrative and project coordination support for Marketing Department activities, including e-commerce activities.
- Draft, edit and proofread content for social media, email, web, print and other communication channels.
- Create and update basic graphic design materials using established templates and FCS brand standards.
- Assist with content gathering, project tracking and coordination with internal subject-matter experts.
- Support FCS podcast production through scheduling, guest coordination, logistics and promotional content.
- Support community social events through registration, setup, logistics and preparation of marketing materials.
- Review materials for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand standards.
- Perform other marketing-related duties as assigned.
- Occasional evening or weekend work and local travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
education:
- Associate degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, public relations, business administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
EXPERIENCE:
- At least two years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, administrative support or a related area.
- Experience drafting, editing or proofreading content for print or digital communications.
- Experience creating or modifying basic visual materials using templates and established brand guidelines.
- Experience coordinating projects, managing requests or providing administrative support in a deadline-driven environment.

- Strong written communication, proofreading and basic copywriting skills.
- Foundational graphic design skills and an understanding of layout, typography and visual consistency.

- Familiarity with graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva.
- Ability to organize multiple assignments, manage deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate professionally and work collaboratively with employees, vendors and community partners.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling organizational information.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
- Must possess a valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record to use agency and/or personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.
