POSITION TITLE: Volunteer Mentor DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern OH & Western PA (BBBS) LOCATIONS: Portage, Trumbull, Mahoning, Columbiana & Jefferson Counties, OH; Mercer County, PA REPORTS TO: BBBS Program Staff

SUMMARY:
The volunteer builds a positive, supportive relationship with a child by spending consistent time together. Responsibilities dependent upon the program assignment and may include but not limited to: Serve as a role model, listener, and offer encouragement Be dependable and committed to maintaining regular contact with the child Participate in activities that support the child's growth and interests Provide transportation for match activities, following BBBS safety guidelines Support the child in setting and working toward goals Track the child’s growth and progress over time Maintain regular communication with BBBS staff ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES: Provide regular and consistent coverage for assignments.
Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements. Duties as assigned.
