Location: Whidbey Island, Washington
- We are seeking caregivers who live on Whidbey Island or are comfortable reliably commuting to client homes on the island.
- Reliable transportation, punctuality, and consistent attendance are essential.
Schedule
We are hiring for:

- Day and evening shifts
- Longer shifts may be available depending on client needs

Caregiver Responsibilities
Depending on the client's individual care plan, responsibilities may include:
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Mobility assistance, transfers, and fall prevention
- Providing companionship and meaningful engagement
- Supporting clients with dementia or memory-related conditions
- Offering calm reassurance and appropriate redirection
- Meal preparation
- Encouraging proper hydration and nutrition
- Medication reminders as permitted
- Light housekeeping related to the client's care
- Supporting established routines and maintaining a safe home environment
- Accompanying clients to appointments, errands, and community activities as needed
- Monitoring for changes in condition or safety concerns
- Completing accurate care documentation
- Communicating important updates or concerns promptly to the Family Best Care team
- Following established care plans and client-specific instructions
Who We're Looking For
Our ideal caregiver is someone who is:
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful
- Dependable and committed to scheduled shifts
- Comfortable working independently in a client's home
- Experienced in caregiving, home care, senior care, or memory care
- Attentive to client safety and changes in condition
- Professional when communicating with clients, families, and the office
- Able to follow care plans and instructions carefully
- Passionate about helping clients maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life
Experience supporting clients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, mobility limitations, or other age-related care needs is highly valued.
Requirements
Applicants must have or be able to meet applicable employment and onboarding requirements, including:
- Active Washington State HCA, CNA, or NAC credential
- Current CPR certification
- Current TB test or screening
- Current Washington State Food Worker Card
- Valid government-issued photo identification
- Reliable transportation
- Reliable phone access for work-related communication
- Ability to complete required onboarding
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Availability that matches current client needs
