Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mid-Level Provider (NP or PA) to join our team at the Family Health Center of Southern Oklahoma in Atoka, Oklahoma. This part-time position is ideal for a provider looking for a flexible work schedule, with 20 hours per week on a Friday through Sunday rotation. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on a diverse, underserved patient population in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care to patients of all ages, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Perform routine exams, screenings, and preventive care services.
- Prescribe medications and order necessary tests and lab work.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Promote patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the health center.
Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the state of Oklahoma.
- Eligible for medical malpractice insurance.
- Possesses DEA and Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drug Control Certificate
- Experience in primary care, family medicine, or similar healthcare settings preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of FQHC operations and guidelines is a plus but not required.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to underserved communities.
