ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is a list that describes the duties to be performed. Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Working knowledge of production environment machinery operation equivalent to at least one (1) year experience preferred, including ability to run, set-up and change-over equipment. Ability to trouble-shoot production related problems. Demonstrated equipment maintenance and preventative maintenance experience preferred. Working knowledge of computers and software applications, preferably with MS Office applications.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to effectively read, write, speak and comprehend English. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Must be able to understand and follow directions. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percentages; and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, sit, and stoop, kneel, push, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb on ladders and portable stairways, or balance. Must be able to climb into machinery for cleaning purposes. The employee must frequently lift and/or move a minimum of 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. And standing a few hours at a time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places and is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The operator will be exposed to wet and humid conditions and have to work with cleaning chemicals, toxic chemicals, and some dust in the atmosphere. The noise level in the work environment is at a level that hearing protection must be worn. Working in close proximity with moving forklift trucks is required.
