Job Title: Grain Intern

Reports To:

Job Summary:

The Grain Intern will be provided a view of the Grain Supervisor position at FWC through a hands-on experience.

The Grain Intern will be given some of the same training as and learn about the daily functions of the Grain Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

The Grain Intern will learn about many of the essential tasks of the Grain Supervisor, such as:

• Learn how to purchase grain
• Learn key aspects of the grain business and grain marketing
• Establish and maintain customer relationships
• Determine customer requirements and communicate market changes and FWC products and services in a timely manner
• Issue and complete cash contracts and grower agreements
• Max out customer value (determine best fit of products, services and needs)
• Execute contracts and agreements

Other Duties:

The Grain Intern will uphold cooperative policies, perform other duties as assigned by management, and will enforce and uphold the cooperative’s credit policy.

• Uphold all cooperative policies

Uphold cooperative credit policies:

• Make credit terms known to all employees and customers
• Do not charge to customers on COD
• Do not extend credit to customers who have not been approved by the credit manager
• Keep all personal accounts current
