Job Function
- Assist maintenance manager with any necessary maintenance tasks and support overall maintenance operations
- Assist with preventive maintenance (PM) systems and help implement and maintain preventive maintenance measures
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and locate sources of problems by observing equipment, listening for issues, and using measuring and testing instruments
- Repair and replace defective parts by dismantling devices using hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranes
- Inspect parts to determine dimensional changes using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers, and adjust functional components as needed
- Perform general building maintenance tasks as required
- Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools and equipment
- Maintain and complete all necessary paperwork and log information into maintenance software
- Prepare maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing information
- Support production by helping reduce downtime and communicating preventive maintenance practices
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following company procedures, rules, and regulations
Required Skills
- 2 years of maintenance experience
- Basic mechanical or electrical knowledge
- Familiar with machine operations
- Ability to perform with minimal supervision
- Experience in maintenance of industrial equipment
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical journals, blueprints, and layout drawings
