Function in the Job
Very heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Function
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport materials to customers and company locations
- Safely load, transport, and unload materials, ensuring proper securement of all loads
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any issues
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Maintain accurate delivery records and required documentation
- Communicate with dispatch, customers, and operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Adhere to assigned delivery routes and schedules
- Ensure materials are delivered in good condition and meet customer requirements
- Maintain cleanliness and general condition of assigned vehicle
- Follow all safety procedures while handling materials, including bending, lifting, strapping, and securing loads
- Report accidents, delays, or issues promptly to management
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Minimum 1 year of Class A driving experience preferred
- Good motor vehicle record (MVR) required
- Ability to safely operate tractor-trailers and transport materials
- Ability to lift, bend, secure loads, and perform physical job duties
- Strong attention to safety and compliance
- Dependable with strong time management skills
