Position Overview:

We are looking for a motivated Retail Parts Advisor to deliver outstanding customer service while driving parts sales growth. You will become a trusted partner to customers, helping them find the right parts and solutions to keep their equipment running efficiently and minimise costly downtime.
Job Description:
This is a varied role combining inbound and outbound sales, customer account management, order ownership, and digital customer engagement. You will work with industry-leading technology, including E-commerce platforms, AI-enabled tools, and CRM systems, to provide exceptional service and identify opportunities to grow sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling customer enquiries by phone, email, and digital channels.
- Identifying and supplying the correct parts using technical systems and catalogues.
- Preparing quotations and proactively following up opportunities to convert sales.
- Building strong customer relationships and developing your customer portfolio.
- Generating new business through outbound calling and customer development activity.
- Taking ownership of customer orders from enquiry through to delivery.
- Managing backorders and working with internal teams to resolve supply issues.
- Keeping customers informed throughout the order process.
- Upselling and cross-selling relevant products and services.
- Supporting walk-in and click-and-collect customers.
- Promoting Finning's digital solutions, including E-commerce.
- Using CRM, CAT AI and other digital tools to enhance customer interactions and identify sales opportunities.
- Contributing to sales growth, customer retention and customer satisfaction targets.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Experience in parts sales, technical sales, customer service, or a similar commercial role.
- Proven experience working towards sales, conversion, or customer retention targets.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong customer focus with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to identifying sales opportunities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of construction equipment, plant machinery, automotive, commercial vehicle, agricultural or engineering sectors.
- Understanding of equipment downtime and its impact on customer operations.
- Experience using digital sales platforms, E-commerce solutions or customer management systems.
