Position Overview:
At Finning, the world’s largest Caterpillar deal, we are looking for two experienced Mining Technical Service Representatives – Shovels and Drills to support our mining customers across Canada.
In this role you will serve as a trusted technical advisor for shovel and drill fleets, helping customer improve equipment reliability, availability, and performance. Working closely with mine team, you will perform equipment audits, provide technical recommendations, coordinate service support and ensure equipment operation and maintenance align with Caterpillar OEM standards.

We anticipate the starting base salary for this position will be between $115 - $125k, with an addition of a short term incentive plan. Actual salary will be based on the candidate’s experience.
Job Description:
- Build strong relationships with mining customers and act as a trusted technical advisor
- Schedule and conduct customer site visits, equipment inspections and technical reviews
- Assess shovel and drill machine health and provide detailed analysis and recommendations
- Prepare customer reports and communicate opportunities to improve reliability and performance
- Coordinate with Finning’s Parts and Service teams to ensure required components and support are delivered on time
- Identify potential equipment issues before failures occur and recommend corrective action
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer service and operational support
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic, Millwright, Engineer, or equivalent mining equipment experience
- Minimum 5 years of customer-facing experience in mining, heavy equipment or industrial operations
- Valid class 5 drivers license
- Strong knowledge of shovels and drills
- Caterpillar equipment experience is considered a strong asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization, planning and time management abilities
- Strong focus on safety, quality and customer satisfaction
Important Notes:
- This position may be based out of Edmonton, AB or British Columbia
- This position is on a 7x7 shift rotation
