Compliance Manager

Fire Security Services is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our Whangārei team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will coordinate testing, inspections and maintenance across fire protection systems, oversee Building Warrant of Fitness requirements, support service delivery and build strong customer relationships.

You will be leading a team of 15 compliance technicians servicing the Northland region.

About the role

• Schedule and oversee testing, inspections and maintenance of fire protection systems.
• Keep operational systems and records accurate and up to date.
• Manage Building Warrant of Fitness requirements in line with current legislation.
• Coordinate service resources so work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Estimate and oversee works and assist with tenders for new contracts.
• Develop service agreements, pricing and structured contracts.
• Manage key customer accounts and support business growth.
• Monitor stock and consumables used for fire equipment and alarm testing.
• Champion health and safety, quality and ISO requirements across the department.

About you

• At least five years’ experience in compliance management, ideally within the fire protection industry.
• Strong planning, organisation, time and resource management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including confident presentation skills.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach with sound analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Strong stakeholder relationships and the ability to influence in a consultative way.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and other business systems.
• Relevant technical knowledge and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• A current driver licence and willingness to travel when required.
