Compliance Technician 2670

As a Compliance Technician, you'll be out on the road visiting customer sites across the region. Your work will include:

• Testing and surveying fire alarms, sprinkler systems, emergency lighting, passive protection, and handheld fire equipment
• Ensuring all systems meet NZ Standards and the Building Act
• Delivering safe, accurate, and professional compliance services

This is a full-time, permanent role (40 hrs/week, Mon–Fri) and unlike plenty of jobs these days, this one cannot be done by AI, so your skills are always in demand.

We’re looking for an experienced Tester/Surveyor who knows their way around NZ Standards and compliance requirements.

Our “must-haves” aren’t long, but they matter:

• Strong communication skills
• A motivated attitude and desire to learn
• Integrity, initiative, and reliable work ethic
• A clean NZ driver’s license
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Fire & Building Compliance in NZ (preferred)
• Working knowledge of NZ Standards and the Building Act
• Hold NZQA Systems Technology Level 3 (or willingness to complete it)
• New Zealand residency
