Firma Contracting is currently seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter to join our team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Duties include (but are not limited to):
- Install doors, frames, trim, baseboards, crown mouldings, and other finish carpentry components
- Install cabinets, countertops, shelving, and other architectural millwork
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Measure, cut, and assemble materials with precision and attention to detail
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and project specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Work closely with site supervisors and other trades to ensure efficient project completion
- Identify and resolve installation issues while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Participate in site inspections and address deficiencies through corrective actions
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of finish carpentry experience is required
- Strong knowledge of finish carpentry techniques and materials
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- High attention to detail with excellent craftsmanship
- Experience installing doors, trim, cabinetry, millwork, and interior finishes
- Proficient in the safe use of hand and power tools
- Ability to work independently and follow direction from the foreman
- Physically capable of performing manual labour, lifting materials, and working in various conditions
Required Certifications:
- CSTS 2020
- WHMIS 2015
- Fall Protection is an asset
- Valid driver's licence is an asset
