Firma Contracting is currently looking for a reliable and experienced Handyman to support our renovation and construction projects in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out general renovation and repair work on residential and commercial sites
- Support a variety of construction tasks including basic framing, flooring, and drywall installation/repairs
- Assist with site preparation, demolition, and finishing tasks as required
- Measure, cut, and install materials accurately based on project needs
- Operate hand tools and power tools in a safe and efficient manner
- Maintain a tidy and safe work area at all times
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other trades to support project timelines
- Report issues, defects, or repair needs to the supervisor as they arise
- Follow all company safety procedures and participate in inspections as required
- Work in a professional manner demonstrating reliability, honesty, and teamwork
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in general renovations is required
- Working knowledge of framing, flooring, and drywall is required
- Solid understanding of basic construction and repair practices
- Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision when needed
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Safety conscious with consistent adherence to site procedures
- Physically capable of performing manual labour in a construction environment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work consistently as scheduled
