Design Engineer – Energy Infrastructure | Civil Engineering

As a Design Engineer on Fisher's Energy Group, you'll support civil engineering design for solar, wind, electric and gas utilities, pipelines, and power systems. You'll apply your civil engineering expertise across site design, stormwater systems, utility coordination, environmental permitting, and construction while collaborating with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.

This role gives you the opportunity to expand your experience in energy infrastructure while taking ownership of meaningful design work. You'll work on challenging projects, learn from experienced engineers, and build your technical and project delivery skills in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Design site layouts, grading, utilities, drainage, stormwater, and erosion control solutions.
• Develop plans, calculations, estimates, reports, and construction documents.
• Support stormwater and environmental permitting initiatives and ensure designs comply with state and local regulations, safety codes, and industry standards.
• Lead environmental assessments and permitting efforts while collaborating with clients and regulatory agencies to secure approvals.
• Support electric, gas, and telecom utility design and Environmental Management & Construction Plans (EM&CP).
• Oversee construction progress to ensure work follows plans and safety standards.
• Participate in project planning, coordinate engineering tasks with scope, schedule, and budget, and maintain accurate project records.
• Prepare proposals and cost estimates for renewable energy, oil & gas, and utility projects while supporting internal teams with documentation, coordination, and presentations.
